FAQ

Questions I thought you'd might like to know:
-----

Why is this website here?
- This page serves as a purpose of my own personal photography portfolio. It's more for professional use but of course, it can be casual. I'm hoping to take up freelance photography work if that answers your question.

Are your photos edited/photoshopped?
- Most of my photos are not photoshopped except for a few. Even if they are photoshopped it's just the lighting adjusted. Photos that are clearly photoshopped will be classified as "Art".

You have lots of photos that aren't watermarked, why don't you?
- Surprisingly I like my photos to not be watermarked. However I really appreciate it that people do not claim my photos as their own. I have a way of finding out if my photos are used illegally and mind you, there is a passed law on plagiarism just so you know.

So if you get sued, you'll be losing thousands... This is why contacting the photographer is super important.

Where are you currently residing?
- Petaling Jaya in Malaysia, that's all I am going to let you know.

What's your race?
- Born a Malaysian Chinese :)

What equipments do you use?
- Honestly, they're really basic. I'm using a Nikon D3100 & my only lenses are my basic lens kit which is the 18mm-55mm while my other prime lens is the f 1.8/G 50mm Nikkor lens. I don't really use tripods because I haven't gotten one HAHA.

Of course if I could, I'd upgrade more when I have enough money.

What category of photography are you best at?
-I'd say Bokeh and maybe portrait shots. I'm "good" at taking natural shots (When people aren't actually posing). Of course I'm very willingly eager to hone my photography skills in other areas.

Your event photos are a little bit off...
- If you're talking about the angle then yes, it is one of the hardest challenges I face in event photography. If there's one thing I learned in class, it's to be considerate and to not block other photographers.

Well when I attended most of the events, photographer spots are most of the time limited spacing as well as reserved for those "professional" photographers. However thanks to my smart brain, I managed to get a few good shots in crowded events when in reality I'm kind of squashed in between other photographers.

Conclusion? I'm a smart photographer who takes advantage of her small size built ;)

Any pet peeves in photography?
- I really hate it when snobbish photographers goes to the front and block the other photographers (Especially in events!), I have a term for them and they're called "Bodohgraphers" :p

Bodoh means stupid in Malay.

How'd you gain access to events?
- I interned at a Magazine company called MYC. I was under the editorial team where my job consists of copywriting, attending events as the writer or photographer, & I also did a few articles which I'm super proud of.

Currently I'm under Samsung Mobilers Malaysia's club, & lots of my event invitations were handles by them.
